Psuedo Mama Love

Carleigh says I need to start a blog on my life as a pseudo mama.
She would call it "I'm not a mom, but today..."

So, I welcome you to my new segment on life lived in community. I'm not a mom, but I live with a 3 year old, a 2 year old, and a 7 month old. That leads to some daily occurrences that single girls my age usually don't occur.

Allow me to share the latest, with the knowledge that there will be many more to follow.

I'm not a mom, but last week, when I arrived at work, I realized I had oatmeal smeared all over my pants from a kiss/hug around the leg that Charlee gave me as I walked out the door. Awesome. The Tide pen works for everything....except oatmeal. It just smears it around. I looked very professional that day.

I'm not a mom, but last week Charlee insisted I join her in the bathroom while she went potty. She told me to close my eyes, and when I opened them she proudly showed me the #2 she'd done. And I congratulated her.

(P.S. The first pic is Jane, about a month ago, taken by Carleigh...Jane is this pleasant almost ALL the time. It's nuts. She's wonderful. I pray to God that she will continue to be just as sweet all of her life. The second pic I took one day when I was watching the kids. It happened to snow, and so we bundled up and went outside. Rookie mistake...I got the kids ready before I got myself ready. You can tell by Bo's face that he's NOT impressed with me. He also ripped off the cute "bear toque" that I put on his head and replaced it with his dad's black ACDC toque. Nice, kid.)
